First lady Michelle Obama stunned the fashion world when she appeared at the recent “Christmas in Washington” concert in a black dress with a black lace overlay purchased from a New York vintage shop.
Obama selected a vintage 1950s black lace dress by the late American designer Norman Norelli. Rumor has it that Obama could possibly be the first American First Lady to wear a second-hand vintage dress at a high-profile public event.
Although it came from a second-hand store, the dress wasn’t cheap at all. VIntage experts told the London Daily Mail that the one of a kind dress is estimated to be worth around $2500.
