Lingerie as a second skin, capable of interpreting every facet of femininity – this has become a pillar of the international La Perla re-launch, with its acquisition by holding company Pacific Global Management, headed by Silvio Scaglia. The company’s new direction is reflected in the new image for its retail arm, which started with the flagship stores in Milan and London in winter 2014.

Paris is the fashion capital where La Perla has just opened its doors to the second new boutique which complements its historic counterpart in Faubourg St. Honorè. The new boutique is located in the Rive Gauche chic heart at the crossing of Carrefour de la Croix Rouge and the prestigious Rue de Grenelle. On September 24th took place the cocktail party for the grand opening hosting special guests such as the actresses Emmanuelle Beart, Emmanuelle Saignier, Melanie Thierry, Dolores Chaplin, Pauline Lefèvre and celebs such the writer Amanda Sthers. Femininity has been really the absolute protagonist of this event.


The new design for the La Perla boutiques is the result of the work of architect Roberto Baciocchi, founder of the internationally renowned architectural studio with its headquarters in Arezzo. He also took the reins for all of the stores of Prada, Miu Miu and Church’s.

The project is clearly inspired by great Italian architecture, and was put together by Baciocchi for La Perla. References to the work of Carlo Scarpa from the Castelvecchio Museum in Verona can be found in the soft, dusty colored walls dressed in painted fabric, and in the display cases within the store. The ultra-feminine range of color shades, from pale blue, through dusky pink to daffodil yellow, plays on the luxurious essentiality of the hexagonal Portuguese marble slabs. Severity and softness are also found where the paving meets the rugs and silk tub armchairs in the same pastel tones as the walls.


The arch is one of the distinctive architectural elements of Italian art and here it becomes a backdrop lined in pink onyx inside each window. The La Perla creations are displayed in transparent cases with gilded metal hangers or presented to customers on velvet-lined trays.

One of the main features of the new La Perla project is the gateway in front of the fitting rooms: a symbolic element that marks this space devoted to intimacy, creating an exclusive place in which femininity reigns. The fitting rooms, featuring amethyst-colored walls, are defined by backlit tulle paneling, creating a light, mellow and comfortable space. Another element is the metal grate feature that recalls ancient confessionals, and a “Service” bell for calling a member of the sales staff.

The second floor of the new boutique is an espace privé, dedicated to VIP customers, where they can access exclusive services such as the new Made to Measure collections.
The opening of this new French boutique is an important stage in the expansion project of the retail arm, considered to be a benchmark in the great La Perla international re-launch. The new image will be unveiled in the flagship La Perla boutiques, which includes Barcelona, San Francisco, New York.

MIZANI Celebrity Artist and Master Stylist at Dop Dop Salon Cesar Ramirez, who created hair for the show, brought the vision to life by developing an ethereal, yet voluminous look in a striking blonde hue. Coupled with MIZANI styling products, he came up with the idea to create triangle shapes, with an unconventional, coiled texture to produce a magnificent reverse “A-Line Bob,” which paired perfectly with dE Souza’s collection.

“I wanted to design a dimensional style in this icy, arctic shade for a dramatic look,” says Ramirez. “Using MIZANI products to create the bold, textured style was a perfect match, as the brand has always been a leader in the professional textured market. I loved having the opportunity to work with Victor because he brings drama and his pieces are incredibly theatrical, so it really inspires my creativity.”

How to get the look:
Start by applying a small amount of MIZANI Iron Curl Heat Styling and Curling Cream to the entire head of hair, create a center part and brush smooth to start the shape
Take 3″ hair pins and wrap small strands of hair in a “figure 8” around the pin, holding the ends in place
Once the hair is wrapped around pins, spray it with MIZANI HRM Humidity Resistant Mist and heat with a flat iron for a few seconds; repeat the process until your entire head is covered with pins
Next, remove the hair pins and brush it out to reveal a very teased and textured head of hair
Cut the length very blunt into a triangle shape, frame the face and create a sharp line to reveal a cutting-edge A-Line Bob
Lastly, spray the entire head with MIZANI HRM Humidity Resistant Mist to set the shape, and voila!

The Scoop: Yoana Baraschi’s Spring 2015 collection is inspired by bold African sunsets. Sunset colors such as yellow, gold and saffron tones are combined with purples and accented with sangria and nectarine. Coral rose adds spice and warmth to the collection and mixed media prints add a daring African aesthetic.

The Makeup Look:
· Skin: skin was prepped with butter LONDON Hydrating Balm. Hughes then mixed butter LONDON Tinted Highlighter in Twit with moisturizer and applied to the high points of the face followed by a touch of concealer to even out skin.
· Cheeks: contour using butter LONDON Cream Bronzer in Bit Faker on hollows of the cheeks and temples.
· Lips: line lips with red lip liner and apply butter LONDON Moisture Matte Lipstick in Ladybird on bottom lip. Pop butter LONDON Moisture Matte Lipstick in Come To Bed Red, concentrating in the center and working towards the sides.
