Daffy’s Dept Stores Closing this Fall
Daffy’s has just announced that they will be closing all 19 of their stores this coming fall, with eight of them being in NYC. Back in June, reports came in that Daffy’s couldn’t pay its vendors, and that buyers were actually forced to take vacation while the chain regrouped. CEO Marcia Wilson has chosen to go the liquidation route versus just selling the company. So what does this mean for consumers? It means save some coins because ‘Back to School’ will present more bang for the buck as shoppers pick through the liquidated racks.
