The very chic actress and now ex-wife of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes is set to put-on her first-ever New York Fashion Week show this going September.   Her clothing line,  Holmes & Yangwill make its way to the mighty and infamous “tents” where hundreds of fashionistas and paparazzi photographers will congregate at Lincoln Center. Katie’s name alone may be too big for the tents however, this could mean that she wants to keep her collection viewable to a limited audience. Whatever the case may be, she could have chosen the largest and most exclusive venue but she kept it true to fashion by opting right under Mercedes Benz Fashion Week’s roof –the most authentic place. Although designers have the ability to chose from several venues for their runway shows, the tents are more heavily trafficked and is considered to be Fashion Week’s hub, a spot where the big boys showcase from  Diane von Furstenberg, BCBG/Max Azria, LaCoste, Badgley Mischka and more–not to mention celebs caught sneaking in backstage or VIP slipping into lounges between presentations along with mobs of fashionistas clicking away or sitting front row. Sounds like a must-have dish, doesn’t it!
