Revillon SS 2013 Paris Fashion Week

Andrew Heather’s Spring Summer 2013 collection is inspired by the heritage of the house of Revillon and its relationship and place within the history of France. Revillon, founded in the year 1723, dressed the French Royal Courts of Louis XIV, the Sun King, and Louis XVI. “Un bouquet à vous offrir”- a bouquet to offer you – refers to when Louis XVI offered the Grand Trianon to his wife, Marie Antoinette.

Named after places and the grand rooms of Versailles, each look features intricate design and fabrication details. Laser cut python, hand-stitched fox fur, floral prints and sculptural accents, bonded jersey and leather jackets present a light and feminine form.

The scent of the collection, delicately infused throughout the two ornate rooms of the presentation, was designed to embody the French court of Versailles. 12.29 and Francis Kurkdijian used Revillon designer Andrew Heather’s Spring Summer 2013 colour

vision of silver mercury and talcum powder to convey the classic elegance of luxurious fur.  The scent is built on a modern neroli structure wrapped in animal notes and rich balsam; a moment of romantic beauty with a beguiling undercurrent.
