For FW 2016, Zac Posen played with proportions and dimensions for Brooks Brothers. The elegant ambiance and setting at the Penthouse level of the Glasshouses in Manhattan was perfectly fitting for Valentine’s Day. Attendees escaped the outside frigid temperatures to the warmth of well-done fall/winter pieces. A full jazz band entertained the crowd as Zac walked us through the collection filled with intricate detail, classic prints, plaid, velvet, fur and cashmere.
The collection showcases an array of daywear spanning from round-hemmed dresses to mix and match separates. There were also mens inspired trousers and tops that played well for a more polished look.
The classic camel hair coat, a Brooks Brothers signature piece, is shown in a new and more refined silhouette. Zac, who is well-known for elegant evening wear, introduced a luxurious brocade coat, a floor length velvet gown, and two sharply tailored tuxedos.
