Red Carpet Yes or Mess: Lea Michelle

Actress Lea Michelle attended the Glee Concert which took place this weekend in Los Angeles, CA. She wore a black lace corset dress with velvet embroidered detail and lace/tulle ruffle cascade by Marchesa paired with classic Louboutin pumps. Her hair and makeup was flawless but could she have used some accessories? Not at all. The dress itself is enough so earrings, a necklace or bracelet would have been overkill. Therefore this look is a YES!

Red Carpet Yes or Mess: YVONNE STRAHOVSKI in Kotur

YVONNE STRAHOVSKI was spotted carrying a KOTUR clutch to the NBC Universal Press Tour All Star Party at the fabulous SLS Hotel Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. Although she isn’t in traditional summer colors and strappy sandals, she looks amazing. Do you love her look? Yes or Mess?

Hair Tips by Holly Madison

Last night Holly Madison was honored at the Pro Beauty Association?s North American Hairstyling Awards where she received the “Beautiful Humanitarian Award” for her charitable work – specifically with organizations such as PETA and the Animal Foundation of Las Vegas. While hitting the red carpet, Holly shared some of her own daily beauty secrets. “I always put serum on my hair to keep it moisturized, shiny and smelling good. Then I usually throw it in a bun or ponytail for the day until I have to get more glammed up for work.”

Holly’s favorite hair stylist?
“While I love the work professional hair stylists do, I really enjoy doing my own hair… I want to learn how to do more updos and fancy styles to keep my look fresh”.

Red Carpet Yes: Kelly Rowland

Last night Kelly Rowland celebrated the release f her new album titled “Here I Am” amongst friends at the Standard Hotel in NYC sponsored by Moet and Chandon Rose`. The highly anticipated and extremely exclusive event was attended by Beyonce, Michelle Williams, Estelle, Adrienne Baillon, Big Sean, Kevin Liles, Andre Harrell as well as local socialites including Damon Perruzi and Bevy Smith. Kelly Rowland looked stunning in this cut out black dress by Cushnie et Ochs and Alejandro Ingelmo heels.

Kelly also appeared at Planet Holly wood in Times Square beforehand to sign autographs and greet her fans. She was more casually dressed in hot pink cut out shorts and suede tassel boots yet, still stunning.

Red Carpet Yes or Mess: Selita Ebanks

Victoria Secret Supermodel, Selita Ebanks wore the Kilian by Kilian Hennessy Prohibited Red Edition Clutch to the Entourage series finale premiere at The Beacon Theater in NYC last night.

We think she was well DONE! Do you think her look is a Yes or a Mess?

Red Carpet Yes or Mess: Captain America Premiere

The highly anticipated Captain America film has been in the works for a long time, and comic book fans have been waiting for this movie for years now! The star studded film just had its LA premiere with a dazzling American Flag themed Red Carpet, and the stars definitely came out to celebrate. Unfortunately, a few of the stars didn’t consult their stylist (or maybe they just need new ones) before coming out to the red carpet. Maria Menounos (left) doesn’t look absolutely horrible, but this dizzying dress is confusing to the eye and the heels could have been a little more impressive. Maybe the stripes should have been Horizontal instead of vertical. Vanessa Hudgens (center) wore what seemed to be an oversize boyfriend button up, with a cut down the center that looked something like a Flava Flav clock necklace! The shoes were a YES but the monochromatic scheme was a little overkill  combined with the unflattering top- we will pass. Last and most expected was Samuel L. Jackson wearing something similar to what one would wear if they were a rice farmer. We have no critiques on how to make this outfit better besides start from scratch. Red Carpet MESS!

Red Carpet Yes or Mess: Emma Stone

Co-Stars Emma Roberts and Ryan Gosling posed on the red carpet for the NY premiere of their new movie “Crazy, Stupid, Love”. Ryan Gosling was wearing a very flattering checker printed suit and Emma was wearing a very flattering black lace dress by Tom Ford. We give this  look a YES!  Also- If you haven’t seen Emma on the cover of the latest issue of Vanity Fair sporting blonde locks, proving that she looks great with any hair color!

Yes or Mess: Whitney Port

Whitney Port was spotted in Miami on Saturday for Miami Swim Week wearing this fun floral Rebecca Taylor printed patched dress from the Resort 2012 collection. Florals are definitely in, but do you think this the right dress for Rebecca? Yes or Mess?

Red Carpet Yes or Mess: Zoe Kravits

Zoe Kravits was recently seen on the Red Carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival wearing a classic black dress by The Reformation, black mules, and a white jacket. What do you think? Is this a Yes or Mess?

HILARY SWANK was recently spotted wearing VHERNIER?s Onda Ring and Medium Calla Earrings to the Hugo Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin Spring/Summer 2012 at the Forum Museumsinsel at the Brandenburg Gate. The colors pop and the clutch isolates the color. Although we would have loved to see a bit more color blocking with her accessories, her smoking hot body allows her to get away with it. The dress she is wearing is from Vhernier’s Spring Summer collection and will be available in December 2011/January 2012.

Red Carpet Yes or Mess: DJ Cassidy

Just who is DJ Cassidy?  For those that don’t know, he is a NYC based deejay that can make party goers jump up and down at the most conservative event, leaving ladies no choice but to lift the bottom of their gowns while gents unloosen their neck ties so that they can get on down!  He is also the birthday boy who brough out Kirstie Alley, Adrienne Bailon, supermodel Chanel Iman, DJ Samantha Ronson, NBA star Carmelo Anthony, Swizz Beatz, Q-Tip, Maxwell and Sade, Russell Simmons, and his very own artist, O’Neal McKnight for his his 30th birthday celebration held in conjunction with Hennessy Black for their  One Year Anniversary at the Intrepid Museum overlooking the Hudson River in NYC.  The star studded event was what New York City had been missing for quite some time but the icing on the cake was the surprise reunion performance from New Edition.  The stellar occasion left party goers with their hands in the air as if there was a stick-up.  Cassidy arrived in style donning a mustard monochromatic look  muting the color with a white button and pocket square along with classic black suede captain loafers with gold crest.  He was very well coordinated, tha’ts for sure!

Cassidy, himself,  has dibbled and dabbled in fashion and even appeared in fashion advertisements, not to mention he has deejayed some of the most lavish fashion events on the planet.  He is undeniably one of the best deejays on planet Earth, BUT is he on our best dressed list?  The answer: His hair allows him to pull off an edgy look such as this one.  If he had a buzz cut or longer hair, this look would not have worked. Overall image and swagger is essential. It determines whether or not the clothes wear you versus you wearing the clothes. The choice of shoes and texture of his tie blended very well and the gold button detail was very strategic and perfectly fitting for an event held on a boat.

Paris Hilton Shoe Options

A gorgeous heiress deserves a pair of shoes equally as gorgeous. We loved Paris Hilton’s summery butterfly printed dress however, closed toe platforms aren’t intended for every outfit. It’s a big forehead mash visual.  We’d love to see Paris get involved with the color blocking trend or a simple black strappy sandal, besides its summertime. Those toes could use some air.  Try these for size:
