50 Cent Performs at Motorola Droid Razr event in NYC at SIR Stage 37 on October 18, 2011
Last night, rapper 50 Cent helped Motorola celebrate the launch of the new Droid RAZR phone and MOTOACTV in NYC at SIR Stage 37. The event brought out big names in entertainment including actress Zoe Saldana, Kelly Bensimon, Katrina Bowden Darrelle Revis of the NY Jets and rapper Maino.
The highly anticipated launch had invited guests outside in a frenzy and anxious to get inside. Upon entrance, a nicely decorated set and digital screens played video footage of the new Droid RAZR by Motorola. The night wouldn’t have been complete without DJ Reach who kept the crowd going and 50 Cent who kept hands up in the air as if it were a stick up.
A fun night filled with a great crowd and the best cocktail, we have ever had. We asked the bartender for a fashionable cocktail and that is what we got. Although we didn’t walk away with a device, you should know that the new Droid RAZR is the thinnest phone on the market made of KEVLAR fiber and although the phone is thin, it is far from weak. The phone hits stores this week and sells for $299 with a two year contract. For more information, visit www.motorola.com.
When conducting business this fall, first impression and perception will be everything. As we move into the future, you will need to up your style game and tech devices because you want to look like you are with the program, of course. When you enter the room, all eyes will be on you, so what does this mean? Whether its a job interview, executive board meeting, or convention, you want to be sure you have these six items:
1. A good quality bag is a must. It is there that all of your items will be stored and as you pull them out, all eyes will be on that gorgeous handbag of yours. Therefore you will need a multi-use, all-in-one bag like the Megan Business Bag by Brahmin. This stylish satchel features interior moveable laptop case, removable straps all in brown croc leather available at www.brahmin.com.
This review has been brought to you by myself, Priscilla Monteiro, Publisher for The Fashion Reporter. Directly from my head to the keyboard as I give you a true to life review on one of the best phones on the market to this day, well this and my old faithful T-Mobile Blackberry Bold, that is. The all new MyTouch 4G Slide is set to hit T-Mobile stores in just one week and we got a sneak preview! The phone is everything you’ve ever dreamed of in a phone, from its amazing 8 megapixel camera, amplified sound quality, flexible LCD screen which allows you to view items both vertically and horizontally as well as its social media feature which allows you to connect with friends on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and more, all from just one tap.
It is quite the phone for the individual who seeks a device to match his or her lifestyle. The My Touch 4G Slide is perfect for runway shows for fashionistas to snap away at the latest trends with high resolution quality images or the music industry professional who prefers to hear the latest hits and talk on the phone, all at the same time. The battery is just about average in its classification at 1520 mAh. What does this mean, I know? Basically, I was able to take pictures as if I were on a photo shoot all day, browse the web and make phone calls, all during an 8 hour period and still have on bar left, so I was able to get a full days worth from it.
The MyTouch 4G Slide is the only touch phone I’ve owned that has endured Miami’s humidity, and yes, I was snapping away in the sand and caught some amazing pictures at sweltering temperatures with the rear 8MP camera AND it does a great job with dual-LED flash to help out if needed (see a few of the pics below). The phone also has a VGA front facing camera for those in need of some video chat, or you can throw away your compact since it is perfect for refreshing your make-up! As far as pre-loaded apps — It does come with quite a few things courtesy of T-Mobile, some of which came in very handy like the Navigation which helped me find my way back from Basking Ridge, NJ and the Flashlight feature which helped me find my keys that were buried in my purse, and Kidzone which kept my daughter quiet on the way home . Other than those you get Skype, Bejeweled 2, Netflix (Yes! It works great with the 4G network making the internet stream pretty smoothly).
The keyboard is a comfortable size and easy to use, and I can almost type as fast as I can swype these days (well… not really, but I’m learning). They have a great design for the keyboard by offering both options of a slide out Qwerty pad, or the on screen keyboard which make it ideal for people that don’t like touchscreen only phones, and want an actual hardware keyboard.
To sum it all up, the The new MyTouch 4G slide is the perfect accessory for any on-the-go fashionista! From the amazing camera to capture all of your memories, to the limitless apps to keep you entertained, to the versatility, convenience, and ideal size to fit into even the smallest clutch! This phone costs $199.99 for a two year contract with T-Mobile as a new customer. Click here to get one for yourself!
Here is a video I recorded with the phone from the Swizz Beatz/Reebok launch party I attended last week!!!
Celebrities at the Sundance Film Festival were spotted with the coolest accessory – The Samsung Galaxy Tab. Sightings included rapper Lil Jon and actor Don Cheadle. Couple Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox were also seen having a blast taking photos of each other with the device.
First DR. Dre, then Diddy, then Snoop and now, Ludacris and 50 Cent are five musicians who all have something in common besides large bank accounts. They all have their very own line of headphones. Rapper, and rapper, Ludacris launched Soul by Ludacris at the 2011 CES Show which took place this weekend in Las Vegas. Ludacris unveiled a 5 model brand produced by Signeo while 50 cent unveiled Sleek by 50 Cent to be manufactured by H&H Imports.
The moves into personal audio products for Luda and 50 follow the successful Beats by Dre line of headphones from Monster which launched in 2009. Since then, other musicians have followed suit including the HeartBeats by Lady Gaga, DiddyBeats (endorsed by P. Diddy), JustBeats (Justin Beiber”s headphones) PowerBeats (Lebron James), RocNation Aviators (Jay-Z’s headphone company through Skullcandy) and AKG ( Quincy Jones). It just so happens that many of these musicians who have launched their very own headphone line happen to have their hands tied into fashion. Then again, music is universal and through these newly designed fashionable and innovative earpieces, they are the new digital accessory of today.
Soul by Ludacris features a quilted leather headband lining, which Ludacris said was inspired by the interior of a Bentley. Sleek by 50 Cent’s headbands and ear cups have carbon-fiber detailing, a strong and lightweight material also used in high-end sports cars. Ludacris’ Soul line, which will include both in-ear and over-the-ear models and be fully compatible with Apple’s iPod and iPhone products, is set to arrive in stores this spring and should range in price from about $100 to $300. Sleek by 50 does not have a release date or price range as yet.
As Las Vegas prepares to welcome the International CES 2011 (Consumer Electronics Showcase), we are reminded of the spectacular product launches, the incredible unveilings and the brand enhancements we will see over these four days. At CES, products become newer, bigger or smaller, bolder, cooler, sleeker, hipper, more efficient, faster, groundbreaking, emotional connections and good-ole fashioned rich colors.
If you close your eyes and listen to the breakdown of products, you would swear the booth announcers were speaking about fashion and new lines unveiling in the fall and spring. Almost all products; from iPads, eReaders and XBOX KinectTM to Smartphones, BlueRay devices and HD personal equipment, all have an electronic useful quality and contain a separation quality one from the other: it’s TechStyle. TechStyle, not textile, is a product’s unique ingredient that allows it to be a major accessory to one’s personal style or ensemble. It’s that umbrella, those boots, that jacket, those gloves; the satchel, the handbag, the briefcase, the weekender. The products displayed at this 2011 CES, are meant to accentuate the consumers experience as well as provide solutions to their fashion sense. Now that may come across rather vain: a person matching their clothes with their electronic purchases. It’s no more a growing normalcy than to match one’s hair style with one’s outfits. The companies at this 2011 CES understand the want and need of their markets and they aim to satisfy once again, their market’s tech hunger.
