When it comes to London Fashion Week, London isn’t on the menu even though the brand is established there. The fact that they decided to show their SS 2014 collection at their home base deserves all the praise. Christopher Bailey themed the show ”Writers and Painters” which was written by Alan Bennett and painted by David Hockney.

Burberry exemplified an extraordinary collection unique to any other with vivid colors and footwear, nerdy glasses and baggier fitting garments. There was also a mix of neutrals and nature inspired by there muted and green streets of Yorkshire where all three artists are from — all done on classic trench coats, button downs, ties and knits.

Kimberly’s Rainbow Stuffed Peppers are a great meal to make for dinner, and leftovers work great for lunch as well. Typical stuffed peppers involve cheese and often white rice, but with these tasty seasonings and quinoa, you won’t miss those other ingredients. Red peppers are high in vitamin C, which helps repair and regenerate collagen, the protein that gives structure to your skin.

Kimberly Snyder’s Rainbow Stuffed Peppers Ingredients:

6 red, yellow, orange or green peppers, or a combination, seeded and hollowed out

1/4 cup vegetable broth

6 cloves of garlic

2 cups of broccoli florets, cut into small pieces

4 cups of kale, chopped finely

2 medium carrots, diced

1 cup basil, chopped finely

High quality sea salt, to taste

¾ tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. oregano

2 Tbs. low-sodium tamari

3/4 cup dried quinoa

Pre-prep:

**Be sure to soak the quinoa overnight in water and rinse well before using.

Instructions for preparing seeded and hollowed peppers:

Make an incision at the rounded top of each pepper, about 1 – 1 ½ inches from the stem.

Cut all around the stem in an even circle, then pull out the stem and the seeds.

Discard stem, and save the rest of the pepper top to chop and add to the filling

If necessary, clean out any remaining seeds from inside the pepper and discard.

In a saucepan place 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and add the quinoa to the hot water, and simmer until the water is absorbed and the grains become translucent soft (about 10-15 minutes). Pour through a strainer and set to the side in a bowl.

Spring 2014 Mens Collections – London

This weekend British Designers showed their SS 2014 collections in London, England. Men can expect lavender, mint, citrus yellow, powder blue, ombre and floral prints as part of their dress code selection along with espadrilles and wicker inspired accessories. Overall, the look will either be muted with pops of color or graphical with lots of psychedelic patterns. Bits of sheer and mesh will be added to a top or blazer for a softer, feminine edge for a more unisex appeal. Nothing boring at all, that’s for sure!

The Celebrity Weekend Style Report – June 14-16, 2013

This weekend celebs hit the red carpets, stages and clubs wearing top designers. At times we are dashing to the stores to get their look for less and others times we just look at images thinking “what a mess”! In this weekend’s report of celebrity hauteness, Rihanna hit the scene in British designer’s Stella McCartney and Christopher Kane while touring in London.

Do we all agree that Solange Knowles probably has the best shoe game in entertainment? There int a single function where she isn’t spotted in the hautest footwear. This weekend she rocked Nicholas Kirkwood to Bonoroo and Northside Festival. Shoes were sickening!!

Gwyneth Paltrow hit the red carpet for an event honoring herself at the Gene Siskel Film Center. She wore an ivory vintage inspired Alexander McQueen dress with her hair straightened to perfection to complete her sleek look.

Taylor Swift appears to be connected to her inner sexy these days. She has been hitting the carpet hard in figure flattering mini-dresses. This weekend she graced the red carpet for the Much Music Awards in Canada sporting a black and white Herve Leger bandage dress that she paired with a pay of lack strappy Louboutin’s.

Kerry Washington hit the Mens Spring 2014 Collections and festivities in London this weekend. Her first stop was the Jimmy Choo and esquire Magazine party where she donned a pair of nude pointed toe Jimmy Choo sandals with a 1940′s inspired dress and updo. Not Scandal-lous at ll!

There are many hardworking men in entertainment who still find times in their busy schedules to spend with their children. Although some of them may or may not still be with the child’s mother, many of them do a superb job at putting a smile on their child’s face. Some may have even adopted a child as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did, yet still manage to set great examples as parents. Even Elton John and Neil Patrick Harris exemplify a great job at co-parenting as gay parents.
